Alessandro Botti was born in Milan in 1970. In the early nineties he attended the School of Graphic Design at the Dardi professional institute in Milan and subsequently obtained the Diploma of Illustration and Comics at the Institute of Art applied to the industry at the Castle Sforzesco in Milan. In the meantime, he collaborates on behalf of the Master Editions developing comics and illustrations for the magazines Comics Skate, Stickers Skate, Ultrà. From 1996 to 1998, on behalf of the publisher, 3ntini collaborated with elaborate comics and illustrations for Idea Tattoo magazine.
Since 2000, he has taken a different path, changing the perspective on his work by creating paintings. His works are influenced by the mix of comics and fantasy films of the eighties and nineties (the saga of Star Wars, Alien and Blade Runner) and the passion for informal art (some painters he admires with passion are -Hans Rudi Giger - Emilio Scanavino - Pinot Gallizio - Roberto Crippa).
The mixed techniques used for his paintings are varied and often characterized by free brush strokes and overlapping layers, using various materials such as oil colors, acrylics, pencils and vinyl glue. Plastic, Vinavil and latex inserts are used to weave the surface of the image and make it relief and pulsating. Sometimes small sculptures of monsters emerge from the canvas, animating the composition inside. A collage of layered drawings of ink pens, disturbing creatures and agglomerations of a science fiction matrix, are assembled to recreate dream worlds with signs and methods in the artist's inner and universal chaos.
